Weird Al, Madonna, Annie Lennox?? I tend to gravitate towards acoustics, dreamy, and celtic sounding stuff... I am really bad at remembering names and being current on stuff. I listen to NPR all the time., I just got a job as a radio dj starting in March, so god knows what I'm going to do... guess start listening to rock and watching TV??!! Praying that People Magazine summarizes everything good enough so I can pretend to be cool. More about this adventure when it actually starts., I do appreciate good music, though. I took 7 years of piano lessons, can sight read sheet music. I would probably enjoy it more if there were a more personal connection or drastically unique, rather than sound on the radio. I prefer the fuzz of vinyls and tapes to cds. Too metallic and tinny.

I've been obsessed with watching vlogs (video blogs) lately. Much more interesting and amusing than TV, and short enough to keep my attention. I might get brave and talk about men, sex, and cockatoos one day... and record myself doing so.

Don't watch it unless I'm on an exercise machine. I think it probably rots your brain.

Currently reading an interesting book: It's a comprehensive history and discussion on reproductive rights, by the grandson of the woman who founded Planned Parenthood. Interesting to see the history behind things, and how the ProChoice movement is failing (and ideas on how it might go "right" again). I tend to agree that abortion and family planning, based on scientific evidence, is a necessity- and shouldn't be a luxury (keep the government OUT OF OUR BEDROOMS and put it in PUBLIC HEALTH CARE where it belongs!)., Between reading phases... and browsing random cheap newsstand magazines and improving my life by reading the latest on Jennifer and Brad Pitt. The latest in what cosmetics Cosmopolitan says I "need" for the Fall Season has changed my life immensely and expensively. Just got done reading about "NLP" (neurolinguistic programming) and found it to be a synonym for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Choice Theory (that's a theory that we can actually make choices in life- who knew. I met Glasser once, btw, he's pretty dull). Basically that the way you communicate, the words you choose, the semantics of things... shape and have power to change your reality (well, DUH!)., I do like to read peoples' profiles on here... they don't cease to amaze me and amuse me.
